They say Charity begins at home and what better way for Change Through Giving to end its third year by adopting a family in the community who has recently fallen on hard times. At the famous cookie exchange, as seen on Oprah’s Favorite things show http://www.oprah.com/oprahshow/Oprahs-Ultimate-Favorite-Things-Audience/4 this year members filled a basket full of homemade cookies and other donations including good old fashion cash to help our adopted family. You never know when hard times can fall, and through the grace of God many of us can count our blessings this year. Reflecting on the old we feel a huge dose of gratefullness for all we have accomplished and those we have been able to help. The power of people united towards a common goal – it is truly amazing.
We look forward to 2011 and are excited to think of all that is in store for us. 
As we’ve learned from our new found friend, Oprah, our year should be filled with hope, because “Its not about the “things” it’s about having hope and knowing that something magical can happen when you least expect it.” Here’s to wishing everyone a Happy New Year filled with Hope, from the ladies of Change Through Giving.
