Florence Thuot, the 81 year old director of Journey’s End in Glenwood, Florida, made a silent promise in the mid-1980′s to handicapped and unwanted animals that found their way to her, that the animals would have a home for life. The sanctuary serves as a hospice for more than 300 animals, from pigs, dogs, horses and cats. The non-profit organization depends solely on donations for it’s continued survival.
